So, I would like to ask some advice before I post anything in the "Inker Alley", so please feel free to chime in. All through high school and shortly after, I always inked with pens, because it was easier, even though it didn't look better. I never really took it seriously. Well, when I was 24 I decided I would dive in and try the serious tools of the trade, the brush and crow quill. Well, I got about a tenth of the way done on my first brush piece and gave up. I don't have a lot of patience. Well, after growing up quite a bit, having a kid, I'd like to think I've had developed a little more patience. Well, after some prodding and encouragement, I've decided to take it seriously this time. I realize it's going to take years, but I really want to try this time. So, this week I finished my first brush piece ever. It's not that good, but I got it under my belt. I was wondering, should I post them? Should I wait a while until I'm a little better? I'm not trying planning on submitting try outs anytime soon, but I would like some feedback. Keep in mind, first time ever I've inked with a brush. Don't worry, none of you have anything to fear as far as me taking your jobs

Absolutely post it. A jpeg of 1000 pixels wide gives a nice view.
That way it can critiqued. That's how you get better by letting others point you in the right direction.

Well, I'm working on my third piece, I just haven't been to Kinko's to scan the first two yet, but I will post them once I do. It's so true, you learn more from your mistakes than you do your successes, haha. I've been able to look at the first two pieces and pick them apart and I can't wait until you guys can get at them
