Its good stuff over all. The one thing that really bugs me is that in the first panel on the first page all the drop shadows are at different times of day. in fact in the foreground the window shadow actually goes up? Everything else is nice & clean.

I think what's throwing it off is I was trying to go with recessed windows, but didn't add enough to the one side.Live and learn as always. Here's a bunch fresh off the table. Penciled by Drew Moss. You know the drill.

a few things: on the last page your burlap pattern is black, grey & white. you need 2 more steps in there. dark grey, & light grey. last panel, go heavier on the forward end of the grenade bullet thingys page 1 panel 3 halo spideys arm. It took me a bit of time to figure out what was going on there. bad penciller failure there, with the tangent arm & leg.

When you say greys are you talking about wash, thinner lines,or throwing some whiteout?

both sets of lines end at the same point. There should be a heaviness to the lines coming out of the blacks, then the second set should end leaving the dominant line group alone with a little white out to break it up. At the moment both sets of lines are in the same thickness range & end at roughly the same distance. Hope that helps. If not go look up a few of Townsends pages on his CAF to see more of the effect. So it's been forever since I posted any new pages. So let's fix that now. These were penciled by Mahmud A. Asrar. anjum.deviantart.com/ Also of note over at my deviantart gallery you will find some little pieces I've done at different shows I've attended over the summer. Not so much Con sketches, but more of things that keep me busy and at the table. As always let me know what you think.

I really dont have any feedback for you other than keep trying to get work. Its better than some of the work Im seeing printed so now its just a matter of throwing yourself into the work to develop your own personal tricks & work pace. Good luck.

looks like you need to work on spacing & tapering your renders to create a better grey. the lines themselves are ok, its just how they work together.

You may want to get some Dave Finch or other overly rendered artists pencils to ink. Maybe that is what the Editors are looking for in ink samples.
