So, I didn't want to presume to put this in the "Announcements" section, so I hope General Chat is fine. Since High School, I've had a love for inking. Maybe it's because Randy Emberlin was so d**n nice at every convention I went to in Portland, OR growing up. Actually, he's still at every Portland show and he's nicer than ever. So, in my gallery over at Comic Art Fans, I wanted a section dedicated to inkers. In there, I have a section I remained "The Inkwell". (I can change the name, don't unleash the lawyers on me). There, you will find "Before and After" pictures of pieces I've had inked by such inkers as Inkwell Awards Founder Bob Almond, Inkwell Awards Member Jimmy Tournas, Marat Mychaels, Norm Breyfogle, Atula Siriwardane and more. Take some time to look at all of them and don't miss Atula's contributions, with his added backgrounds, he really does a great job. Also, you can look forward to Spider-Man vs. Green Goblin piece by the Hildebrandt Bros. that Atula is inking. Also, I'll let you know when Bob Almond completes the five, yes FIVE, great pieces he is inking for me that include George Perez, David Finch, Ron Lim and Bob's hetero-lifemate, Sal Velluto. Oh, and there might be a slight mention of the Inkwell Awards in that section Hope you enjoy and feel free to leaves comments and support the inkers! www.comicartfans.com/GalleryRoom.asp?GSub=59521

Of course, we don't mind...especially being that you were kind enough to link to our site from the logo! As usual, thank you Jerry for your ongoing exceptional support of our cause. You represent what grassroots/ fan support can do and we are sincerely grateful. Bob Almond www.inkwellawards.comwww.almondink.com

Sheesh Bob, you only got Booth, Perez, Finch, Lim and Velluto, it's obvious I'm neglecting you Since every inker worth their salt brings something different to the table, I'll be getting the same pencils done by various inkers. The Philip Tan Batman piece is one that I would love to see done by various inkers, even though Jimmy knocked it out of the park. And don't worry Bob, you'll be the next to get your brush on it. Any other suggestions from you guys about which ones would be good for this kind of experiment? I was thinking the Perez Nightwing, and pretty much any of the Texeira pieces. Let me know you thoughts if you have the time.

So, I'm posting another "Before & After" piece, this one by Mark Texeira and Michael Bair. It's hard to see the details all that great, so I'm including a thumbnail to give an example of how much Michael did to the piece. This is one I would really like to have done by other inkers, the sketchiness that Mark used gives inkers a lot of room to play with. Please let me know if you're interested in inking this piece and I will commission you when I can. www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=455956&GSub=59521
