I know when I'm working that I have to listen to something to keep me focused. Right now I'm hooked on listening to Public Enemy's Greatest Hits. What helps keep your work mojo going?

Depends on what's on the Ipod or the computer, also depends on my mood. Each week I get hooked on a new feeling, and I get high on believing...that youuu'reeee in love with meeeeeeee....
Nah, seriously, I just let my ears do the walking. I'll surf until I find the groove and mood I'm after.

It depends what Im working on. Theres been alot of great podcasts lately, but for Uncanny x-men I've been listening to Breakbeat Dance music & Jamiriqoui unless wolvies on the page then its alt country. For nightwing its been norse metal stuff like within temptation, Leaves eyes, & the Gathering, with some occasional Dragonforce.

For writing it's different I guess. I look at each project in the terms of a song or an album. For my Mooney book I wanted a violence and roughness ala Achtung Baby or Songs Of Faith & Devotion. For the Breyfogle book I've been going for something ala Kashmir. The Esposito book, well that could be anything.
I look back on articles and I can almost hear the music in the background. The more violent the article the more violent the music. The latest one, on missing comp copies, that has a soundtrack by Ministry!

As far as carpentry goes, it depends on what I'm working on at the moment. If it's just banging nails and framing, heavier music comes into play (Metallica, Godsmack, System of a Down). If it's for the more complicated finish work, I'll either listen to an audio book or classical music.
Today I uploaded pages for Joker's Asylum, so old school Black Sabbath seemed to work.

PINK FLOYD! There is nothing better than Wish you were here, Animals or Atom Heart Mother to be inspired!
