Just an FYI, that tomorrow, Thursday the 16th, our Hall of Fame namesake and recipient, and fave retro inker co-winner Joe Sinnott turns 82! I passed on our link to his son Mark so feel free to post messages to Joe HERE in this thread as he may in fact be reading them. And even so, I can forward the thread link to him after several messages are posted so it'll be like an inker jam b-day card greeting. www.joesinnott.com/Bob Almond www.inkwellawards.com

Happy birthday, Mr. Sinnott!
Without ever having met me, you did me one of the greatest favors of my comic-reading lifetime... you taught me to love the work of Jack Kirby.
May you enjoy many more!

Why do I love Joe Sinnott? He's the only American artist I've ever spoken to who told me that one of his best pals lives a few miles from me, and then asked me to call him to wish him well - which I did. Why do I adore Joe? Because he's one of the kindest, most honestly open people I've ever had the good fortune to speak to. Why is Joe simply the best? Because as good as you guys, and many others are.... ...you just ain't this good. Are ya? Thought not. Joe - have a brilliant birthday and seriously - I love you and I love your work. You're still the benchmark that every artist should aspire to reaching. Plus, you like Bing. Can't knock a man who likes to sing like Bing! (And just who is that three striper in the front row?)

Happy Birthday to the man who made the FF the greatest. I started with FF #61 -- between Marvel and the Treasure Chest comics they gave us at school, I loved and could recognize that beautiful Sinnott style from an early age. I grew into a Crosby fan, and love those Bing drawings, too.
Have a great one!

Happy birthday to Joe Sinnott -- the best in the biz! I can only hope the ink lines I lay down are half as slick as his! As I write this, a framed pencil Sinnott portrait of a cowboy Ben Grimm looks down at me from my studio wall -- hanging next to a signed photo of our much-missed pal Mickey Spillane. Joe's pencil lines are as sharp as his inks! He's the greatest!

I get notices for a lot of industry peoples birthdays and I usually dont resond, but when I heard it was Joe Sinnott's birthday, well I made darn sure that I joined this group, if only to wish Mr. Sinnott a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Met the man 2x and can't say enough kind things about him. Thanks for all the years enhancing our comic book lives, Mr. Sinnott!
