Hey, I'll try and post more here more then I did on the other board. Just don't have a lot of PRO pencils to show. I've been mostly working on Indy books lately, so not a whole lot of time to work on the portfolio. C&C's welcome. Ben 1314 Hansen pencils Ben 1314 Hansen pencils Phillip Tan pencils

another member of the philip tan inkers club. That piece is your best. It's cool that you are getting work on smaller projects. When you get some time show us more stuff over the better pro pencillers. That'll help to make a better assessment of your improvement.

Hey Jimmy, I havent been working on pages for the last 2 weeks, so mostly I've been drawing. If you want to see what I've been up to just go to the jayleisten.com site. Theres a ton of drawings up & a few comissions over Sparacio, Barrows & Prado. I'f I get a chance I'll atleast post links off to some of the stuff as it happens.

Hey Jay, Great to see ya here. Tried clicking on the Sparacio that you inked but I was unable to get the pic to come up. Truly interested in that one since Sparky always claims his stuff is difficult to ink. I'd just love to show him how a great inker would handle it. All the other stuff looks super sweet!
Peace, Bob

The link on the site should work now. In terms of inking him, I pencil my own stuff tonally so to ink someone elses tonal work is kinda a no brainer. Been doing the same with Olivetti & Marko Djurdjevic so I'm kinda used to it. The only problem I had with his stuff is that his body forms are off some times due to Im guessing distortions in the ref that I can correct but makes it less him & more me.

Thanks for the C&C Jay. Yep, I'm a member of the Phillip Tan inkers club. He always uploads nice large files, and is always says yes to your inking request over on Deviantart. The only PRO pencils I've got right now that haven't been put threw the reviews yet are these 2. The last one was a recreation I did for a friend. C&C's welcome. Well still haven't inked any "Pro Pencils" for my portfolio. I had to jump directly on to my project. And the time that I did have between issue 1 and 2 I used to do some pinups that I was asked to do by the pencilers. The book I'm working on thru Arcana comics is called Unimagineable. This is a page from the first issue. This was one of those pages where your moving along at a good speed, and come to the next page and just can't seem to finish it. I nicknamed it the never ending page. The pencils are done by Kurt Belcher. Pencils by Tony Dela Cruz Pencils by Tony Dela Cruz

Thanks for the comment Jimmy Jay, the holding lines or the interior lines? Do think I should go a little thicker with them?

Just the holding lines. Also consider doing it sharper. make the corners of objects very angular. It just seems to fit in my mind. Like Tan Eng Huat if you know his stuff?
